Little Bunny FooFoo

Well, I finally have something to write about. I thought it would be sooner but I guess the stars were on my side of late.
So I was down in the kitchen the other evening and saw the cutest bunny hopping around out side. I went over to the back doors and watched him for a few and then he hopped away. We have been having trouble with the little cuties eating our flowers here in the hood. One neighbor has gone as far as setting a cage trap to get it and take it far far away so it will leave the beautiful tulips and lillys they have growing in the front yard. Any way, I went back up stairs and not 2 minuets later my son was running up the stairs say "MOM, you have to come downstairs now, #4 and I need your help." I just look at him for a few seconds and said "What is it?" He was all excited and said "There's a bunny in the basement well." Oh @$%#! I thought, jumped up and followed my son down the stairs to the basement and sure ---- there was a bunny in the well. The same one I had just seen hopping around the corner. The grate to the well is just around the corner so he must have not been paying attention and bam! right into the well. Well needless to say the poor thing was terrified and it had a bloody nose. I got my kitchen gloves (we have had mice before and they bite so I was taking caution) and opend up the window and took out the screen and poor thing was just hopping all over the place. Into the screen and the window just trying to hop high enough to get the heck out of there. I know he was thinking "if I could get a running start....." and BAM right into the side of the well. You think after 6 tries he would figure out that that wasn't going to work. So I cornered him and got a hold on him and then I had no frigin idea what the heck I was going to do with the poor thing. So I go upstaris and out side and just stand there with 4 excited kids around me saying "what are you gonna do with...can we keep it...ahwww it's so cute...what are ya gonna do with it? I had no idea so I thought about my neighbor who had a trap and so off I go up the street with a baby bunny in my hands arms out streched. I'm sure my neighbors were inside laughing at me walking up the street with no shoes on and holding a bunny that looks to them may have the plague the way I was holding it. So I get to M's house and knock on the door and they yell "come in" and I said "aaahhhhh I can't kinda got my hands full so M walks around the corner and went to let me in but saw the bunny. He thought I had just caught it outside his house and of course I had to correct him and tell him that I cornered the poor thing. And then he said "what do you want me to do about it"? I said "Your the one who had been trying to catch the rabbits you tell me." So after debating with he and his wife on what to do with it, M tells me to get in his jeep and we will drop it off in the woods about a mile from the house. So big jeep, big tires, hands full, M had to boost me up into the jeep (and you know K he's not to shabby!) So off we go driving along when all of a sudden we hit something that sounds like a huge chain hitting the jeep. M "What the heck was that???" I look in the side mirror but see nothing at all. M "Did we hit a bike?" Me "No and I don't see anything that we could have hit". M (with the look a fear and understanding) "My bit set...it was my bit set. Apparently M was working on the jeep early and had left his bit set on the front of the jeep. All this for a rabbit??? We turn around and find the woods and let the bunny go and boy was he happy to be let go. He just jumped and jumped away in the tall grass. Awwwww. So now we have to go and see if we can find what is left of the bit set. Me in no shoes walking around looking for parts. We found the case in two pieces and bits up and down the road. Cars were driving by real slow with really strange looks on their faces (can you blame them?) Big bald guy and a scary looking woman with no shoes on. All we could do was smile, wave and laugh really hard. So that is the excitement that has been going on here. Little Bunny FooFoo hopping through the woods, and having a story to tell the fam. (even though my hubby told me that I probably killed it, letting it go far away from it's home) Thanks dear! I needed that one. But not to be sad I saw what looked to be the same bunny the next morning in the back yard.(at least that's what I say to help me sleep at night) Cuz ya know rabbits don't have tons of babys at one time and they don't usually all look alike right??? Anyone?

I like the way you thought of M who lives 1/2 a block away instead of G who lives next door. I don't blame you though I would have done the same.

I'm sure the bunny you saw the next morning was FooFoo's brother looking all over for her. However, she's got smashed on the highway trying to get back home.

Hope you sleep well tonight.

Love ya,

Kris

That was his brother in your yard the next day looking for him...calling out "brother! brother! Where are you?" But brother can't hear him, because he's in the forest now...lost... scared and alone. Looking for some tulips or other pretty flowers to eat. :(
He was hoping to follow the trail of the bit set all the way home, but some bald guy and a barefoot lady picked some of them up so he couldn't find his way.
Way to go D.
Ain't I a bigger "A" than your lil' bro!!!??? LOL
A real BE-OTCH!!!!!
JK!!! I wish we could do that to the MOOSE around here!! They LOVE to eat every blooming flower in the garden!! They're alot harder to pick up and drive off though!
And they wouldn't mind being dropped off in a forest either, they'd thank ya for the ride! LOL
Love you!
