Call of the day????

Ok...where do I begin?? I guess at the beginning huh. Anyway, on the first day of school P tells me about "the call of the day" he has in class. I guess if you show exception throughout the day you get "the call of the day." If you know P and most of you do he is sweet but has his moments. Last year his teacher had to send home a report everyday on how he did and what card he was on. Very rarely was it green. Blue most of the time and an occasional yellow with a red maybe once or twice a month. Needless to say he was a little disruptive in class. He wants to be the class clown, really, he tells me that. Heaven help me. Anyway I got the paper that told me of this "call of the day" The teacher calls you to tell you of the wonderful things your child has done that day to get "the call of the day" and P asked me if he got it could he have this new Star Wars helmet he has been dying for. So me knowing it won't happen any time soon I say why sure!!! Uh yeah....WRONG! I get a call on my way to pick up the kids from school and it is his teacher calling to let me know that not only did he get the "call of the day" but the principle also had to tell her what an outstanding job he did on the playground today helping her clean up all the balls. Also an aid on the playground told her what an outstanding job he did. Not only do you get the call but she puts you on speaker and the kids in his class cheered for him. I know his smile was ear to ear. I am so proud of him. I guess I need to be more careful of what I promise him huh. LOL Oh and when I got the kids from school the Principle was out and she came up to the car and told me how she had met T today and how all of her classmates say how kind she is so she invited T to have lunch with her on Tuesday and the told me of P and what he did today and told me I had awesome kids. MADE MY WHOLE DAY!!!!!! Now if they could just do that at home. ;) What a way to start a long weekend.

It's getting there!

Well here are some pics of the house. First we have the counter top. I didn't think I was going to like it when I picked it out but with the dark cabinets it makes the granite look awesome! I was so excited with I saw it. Like a kid in a candy store.

Here are our cabinets and just a couple of light fixtures. Still waiting for the rest of the granite to be put in.
And here we have the front of the house with all the workers painting away. They all seemed to look the other way when I took this picture. If you can see one guy is walking out of the house but when he saw me he kinda hid. (must not have a green card :) LOL)
We have our first walk though on the 9TH. (T's birthday) She is going to have a sucky 11TH birthday. She is in a new school, (no friends yet) our oven in the rental house is as old as dirt and does not bake with a darn so that means I won't be able to bake her birthday cake like I do every year or bake treats for her class like I do every year. She is not happy about that. I will have to make it up to her when we move in our new house. They just never really get it though. Oh well...what is a mom to do??

WooHooooooo!

Here is P his first day of Preschool Here is T here first day of Kindergarten

Present day first day of 2ND grade

And here you have miss T first day of 5Th...yes 5Th grade!

They are getting sooooo big it scares me sometimes. T is so beautiful and I think I am ready to lock her up until she is 21. NO dates or anything of that nature. I know how I was and boy am I in for some BIG trouble!!! She is so much like me its freaky.

I thought it would be a little sad when I dropped the kids off today but then I did it and a wave of relief flowed over me as I was walking out of the the building. A teacher was standing there talking to another teacher and she said woo hoo. So I looked at her as said "that is exactly what I was thinking, Woo Hoo....I don't got no kids!!!" They both started to laugh and I said..."this is going to be a great day." It's so quiet in the house, I can finally sit down and post on my blog and not have to worry about the kids and what they are getting into or NO FIGHTING!!!!!! Yippeeee! I love school! This was an extra long summer with us moving around and it was a well welcomed day! (if that makes any since).

Beside school starting not much going on. The house is coming along. I will post later with pics of that. We close three weeks from yesterday. I can't wait. Right now I have to get up and drive the kids to school and pick them up. Not as bad as I thought it would be. It was a pretty smooth drive to and from. I did have a little incident on Sunday morning. I was having chest pains and my left arm was tingling with major pain in it and my back. So M took me to the hospital and they did all kinds of blood tests, an EKG and my ticker is fine. They kept me overnight for observation and I had to do a stress test the next morning. All is fine I just have heart burn. I never knew that heart burn could feel like a heart attack. It was crazy! But like I said, my ticker is still tickin and its perfect. RELIEF!!!!!! I just have to take Nexium for the rest of my life I guess. Oh well, better than the heart attack!!! Like I said, I'll post some pics of the house a little later! Have a great day all!

Here it is....

T's new hair cute. She still kinda HATES it cuz I cut it to short but it looks sooooo cute. I wish she would just leave it short.

Well we officially got notice yesterday that our closing date it the 16th of September at 1pm. Wooo Hooo! M told me that our cabinets are in and the hard wood floors are down, just not stained yet and we have stairs too! I can't wait to see it on Saturday.

The packers come in the morning and I have tons to do today. I am so going to miss this neighborhood. We went over the our friends house last night for dinner Mark and Shannon's. I am going to miss them the most. They have been awesome friends and love my kids like they were their own. The whole circle of friends are suppose to get together on Wednesday night and have a cook out and say our goodbyes. That will be a sad evening.

The kids and I went to Greenwood (our old neighborhood ) and spent time with friends there. It was sad to have to say goodbye to them as well. I will miss them all terribly!

Our computer is going to be packed away by Thursday so you won't be hearing from me until Saturday I'm thinkin. So know I am out there just to busy and without the net! Love you all tons and thanks for reading!
